What to Include in a Blind Rivet Quotation Request

A clear quotation request helps suppliers identify the correct blind rivet and helps buyers compare offers on the same basis. This checklist is intended for wholesalers and importers sourcing blind rivets from China.

1. Identify the Product

State the rivet type, such as closed-end, multi-grip, peel-type or tri-fold. Include a supplier code, drawing or clear photograph if available. A photograph helps identify the style but should be supported by dimensions and material information.

2. Provide the Technical Details

• Body diameter and length, with units

• Required grip range or total joint thickness

• Rivet body and mandrel materials, including grades if specified

• Head style, finish and color requirements

• Any drawing, standard or performance requirement that must be met

If a detail is unknown, state that it needs confirmation. Avoid treating a similar-looking product as an exact replacement without checking the specification.

3. List Quantities by Item

Give the quantity for each size and material combination. Distinguish a trial order from an expected repeat-order quantity. Ask the supplier to confirm any minimum order quantity instead of assuming that all items have the same minimum.

4. Describe Packaging and Shipping Requirements

State whether you require bulk packing, small boxes, labels or other packaging. Include quantities per pack if these are fixed. Provide the destination country and, where relevant, the delivery port or address and preferred trade term. Ask the supplier to state what the quoted price includes.
